Who we are

After three decades of working in the healthcare industry as a nurse and patient care manager, Vena Aquino’s compassion and drive to help people opened her eyes to aspects of the healthcare industry that need improvement.

Whether it’s administering unnecessary medication, the lack of health education from healthcare providers to patients and their families, or the lack of alternative treatment options for patients. Vena felt compelled to remedy this and began her journey into alternative/complementary healthcare.

At 50, Vena went back to school to complete her bachelor’s degree in alternative medicine, where she also discovered a complementary treatment called Reiki that uses life force energy to assist in the body’s natural healing processes. Her interest in learning about energy/biofield energy made Reiki the perfect fit for the type of non-invasive healthcare treatment to gain certification and expertise.

With inspiration from her Reiki Master and other Reiki practitioners, Vena founded Venus Reiki Healing in 2021. Vena has gained invaluable experiences with her clients and learned they share the same values as Venus Reiki Healing: natural and holistic approaches to physical, mental, and spiritual health, healthcare education, and improving the quality of life.
